I rode the AMBULANCE with my PAPA, once again, Sunday night ... He had a high FEVER and a VERY laborious BREATHING ... Turns out he had a KIDNEY infection and the beginning of a PNEUMONIA ... 

Yesterday, my MAMA fell on the icy stairs of her house and cracked a bone in her arm ... 

Today, while driving back from the HOSPITAL, my CAR died on me ... 

What a CRAZY week so FAR ! My father will be coming back home on THURSDAY and and for the remainder of the week I will be staying at my PARENTS place to give them a hand ... NO internet at their place ... And my spawn is leaving unexpectedly for Switzerland Friday for 5 weeks ... 

But you know WHAT ? Dad is doing MUCH better ... Mom could have done WORST and broken a HIP ... My beaten up VOLVO will get fixed without RUINING me and ... my very excited SON will be back in MARCH ! 

So, I'll keep on SMILING !

This afternoon, I WALKED in shallow SNOW in the fields, in the forest, by the lake for HOURS and HOURS ... I needed the PHYSICAL challenge and FRESH air in my lungs ... 

And when the SUN sank on the horizon getting ready to say BONNE NUIT, I took a different direction CLOSER to home ... Got my HIDDEN folding chair out of my SECRET spot and my bottle of RED wine out of my BACKPACK ... And I toasted to HAPPINESS and nature and LIFE ... In my FAVORITE spot ...

As soon as he was COMPLETED and RESTING on my work table, this NEWLY created dual-personality DEVIL-ANGEL clay figure disappeared ... 

I had SO MUCH fun creating HIM ... NAUGHTY and MISCHIEVOUS, he SEDUCED me as we WORKED together and I made him come ALIVE ... Now, I am TOTALLY hooked on sculpting AND modeling ... I swear, my HANDS are POSSESSED ! And I enjoy it even MORE than I did in KINDERGARTEN playing with PLASTICINE ... 

He is watching ME as I write this ... HIDDEN in my studio JUNGLE ... Waiting to see WHO will appear NEXT out of the argil I am KNEADING ...

ELECTRICITY is back ! The ROADS have been reopened ! The SUN is finally shining after a full week of GREY days ... My SPAWN has returned HOME from a SHORT trip ... And my TENDER-HALF, who was hospitalized AGAIN since January 6 was released this morning ...

NO electricity and NO roads ...

I asked my MOTHER to post this for me ...

TONS and TONS of rain have flooded AND maimed our roads on the MOUNTAIN today ... NO electricity ... MUCH above normal 52 degrees F temperature will drop to MUCH below normal -15 degrees F overnight ... Tomorrow morning will NOT be pretty ...

Home ALONE with my ZOO ... and enjoying this SILENT and DARK night to the MAX ...

At the CROSSROADS ...

Sometimes, the snowy fields at SUNSET look like the ocean ... 

Normally, when I come to this CROSSROAD sign on my 4-mile RUN, I turn around ... TODAY, for some reason, I stopped by it and watch the SKY explode with COLORS after a rather DRAB day ... Then, I took a DEEP breath and decided that the length of my JOG was NO longer satisfying ... So I HIKED another 4 miles WITHOUT giving it a SECOND thought ... And felt MUCH better ... 

I guess you gotta PUSH yourself once in a while when THINGS get TOO easy ... I will keep THAT in mind for the REMAINDER of the year ...
