SPRING ELIXIR ...

After HOURS and HOURS

of boiling maple sap

in four LARGE pots,

I just bottled

the first ELIXIR

of the year ...

Ah !

HOMEMADE maple syrup !

The ENTIRE house

smells like a CANDY store ...

GOLDEN syrup tapped

STRAIGHT from our TREES ...

The greatest

PLEASURE

of early Spring ...

Where did you get that amazing bottle to put your maple syrup in?

Hi Lulu ! I have heard that this year was one of the best in many for making maple syrup with warmer days but nights below freezing ! That bottle looks like candied spring. Sweet !
It is nice to reconnect with you, Lovely One.
I will be back !
Vive le printemps !

How beautiful.

I used to read about pioneers having sugaring-off parties where they boiled the syrup, let the kids make toffee with it in the snow and boiling it more and putting it in cake pans to make the sugar for the year.

Ah Laura Ingalls WIlder, teacher of generations!
