TOO YOUNG TO DIE ...

So young to die ...

Only 49 years old !

He passed away last spring and

we will all be missing him dearly ...

The king of our yard,

our dear tamarack tree,

had to be cut down yesterday.

He fell on the ground so graciously

with a big thump

that will echo in our head

forever ...

Goodbye old friend ...

Aw, LuLu, I am so sorry! Can you save some of the wood for carving? I don't know how, but it's something I would love to try out. :) Xox! Pam

It is always sad losing trees. We had to cut down two giant Modesto Ash trees. Hope all is okay. Take care Lulu.

I hate losing trees......every severe storm we have here, I watch my locust as they are delicate and break easily. And the pines, and my beloved tulip poplar.
Save a full slice of the wood and make something special so it will always stay with you. ♥

XXOO!!

A few years ago we had a severe storm that took down A LOT of trees around town. I remember seeing huge trees with their roots pulled right out of the ground and trees resting on tops of cars. My neighbors tree came down and I couldn't get my front porch door open because it had fallen against it! When the trees were cut up and taken away everything seems so strange. So bare and So bright! I didn't like it....this year my neighbor planted a new tree and I added one along my drive...we are hoping to sit in the shade when we are old! LOL!
I'm so sorry you lost your king of the yard.
